It is ideal for optical chirp control in high speed fiber communication systems, high-speed phase control for sensor systems, phase shift key modulation for coherent communication systems, optical frequency shifting for measurement systems, and stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) reduction for analog fiber optic systems.
