SLD is the optical source of fiber gyroscope, and is also the critical component to excellent fiber gyroscope of high sensibility, high reliability, low noise and long life. The design and technique of this product, high polarization are optimized for home-made fiber gyroscope, so that this product has international-level characteristics of reliable output power, good symmetrical spectrum and high reliability in whole working temperature range.
The production takes micro-electronics technique and micro-optical technology of manufacture, coupling, and package.The products are divided to high-polarization ones with PM fiber pigtail, and are applied to different varieties of fiber gyroscopes.
SLD is also used in biomedical image, fiber sensor and other optical instruments, and is hermetically packaged in standard 8-pin butterfly housing, whose temperature can be stabilizing through external circuit and works stably for ages.
